er inspireret af guldsmedens helt særlige måde at flyve på.
Den kan både lynhurtigt skifte retning, og den kan stå stille i luften. Det er en abrupt måde at flyve på. Får man øje på den, flyver den måske først langsomt, eller den står stille, hvorefter den pludselig i løbet af næsten ingen tid er fløjet et andet sted hen, for så igen at stå stille i luften, og for derefter få øjeblikke senere at være helt væk.
Som jeg har komponeret nummeret Dragonfly, ser jeg for mig, at stykket begynder med en sommereng. Lidt henne i musikken kommer der en guldsmed flyvende ind over engen. Så komme der endnu en guldsmed, og nu er de to, der flyver rundt. Efter at have fløjet rundt sammen et stykke tid, flyver den ene af de to væk. Den sidste flyver lidt rundt alene, og så er den pludselig også væk. Tilbage er der igen nu helt stille og ro over sommerengen.
